Artist Comment
Much like Pico, the Tankmen and Captain had an air of intimidation surrounding them. They are on the logo of the site; I had to make their piece look good. So, I turned to study pieces for inspiration and found the Card Players series by Cézanne. His works are always very expressive and depict scenes of everyday life in a more believable way than other works of the time. It felt like the perfect setting and allowed me to explore some of the other supporting characters from the series in a way that set them into the scene naturally.
