---Special Thanks---
And a special thank you to all my musicians who helped bring this to life! Especially Quarl, I probably shouldn't have brought you in on this so early, but you know understand exactly how I work on my stories now, haha. Credits for the soundtrack are as follows:
@Connorgrail - Title Screen/Credits
Effie Vision - Hotel/Reflections
@Quarl - Everything Else
Effie isn't on NG, but I really hope you'll check out some of her other stuff! I know she's got a new album that just released if you're into glitchy synths and thoughtful self reflections too.
And I also really wanted to thank @Intrapath for coding the music element of this; I really wanted to have that back button in the game, but it ended up making things a bit tricky when sounds synced to the visuals. I absolutely could not have finished this proper without his help.

---One final note from Bleak---
This ended up taking a lot longer than I ever anticipated (almost a full year since I wrote the story, granted I wasn't working on it very consistently up until this year) and that's in part because there's a lot of pain in this. Though I always try to put myself into all of my stories, this one is as close to the bone as I've ever written, and releasing it publicly like this is as therapeutic for me as it was to make it in the first place.
I hope you're able to get something out of it, even if the perspective itself is not one that many can personally relate to.
There's an audio only version of this too if that's more your speed

This was really good. The art is definitely the best part of the game, its unique and has so much effort and symbolism poured in, i can see this being a comic and ofc conner grail kills it with the music. Cant wait for a sequel or more like this. Really enjoyed this. if you made the art keep going!! animation was really good too
Thank you! I did all the art and writing :)
Right now I’m working on a very different sort of game, but I’m hopeful that I can start showing it off to folks proper sometime soon!
I only did the title screen, credit is due to Quarl and Effie Vision for the bulk of the music!
Damn, i was not prepared to cry. Love and hugs to all my homies on the lbgt+ spectrum
I wish there was s little hug emoji here so I could send one back
wow this really hit me deep since im like struggling in life a bit and like yeah but its a pretty nice short little story that surely deserves a ton of attention, i like it a lot. :>
I don't respond to these reviews often since as the sound person I love letting Garden engage with everyone but hey, life is a struggle. I'm sorry to hear it's not going well, hang in there champ. Not much more I can say without more context but thank you for relating to the work and taking your time to view this! I hope things get better for you!
Thank you! I definitely know that feeling >.>
Stay safe out there!
Honestly life peaked when Undertale came out, any misery that occurred after was our collective payment for that masterpiece.
But Undertale sucks! :O
