So, Kai’s gotten herself cursed in Bargon’s new comic here, and my friends told me it reminded them of Isaac. So I thought Kai could use a friend to relate to her current condition. Isaac’s not cursed, he was just born that way, but still.

I don’t think it works like that, unfortunately. Comic logic dictates that only the statue can fix Kai back to normal. But since it just broke, it might be a while to figure out (probably in 3 or 4 parts).
